Vogalonga

Born in 1974 by an idea of a group of Venetian oarsmen, Vogalonga is one of the most beloved venetian event.
Vogalonga consist in a rowing marathon for professional or amateurs partecipants, through the most important venice islands and grand canal of Venice.
Vogalonga is one of the most colourful event in Venice, everyone can participate with any kind of rowing boats among the island of S. Erasmo, S. Francesco del Deserto, Burano, Mezzorbo, Murano and finally through Grand Canal.
Over the years the success of Vogalonga has grown a lot with a record of partecipants of over 2000 rowing boats and 7500 people from all over the world.
The Vogalonga brought new life to a craft that had almost disappeared and which helps to keep alive the old traditions of Venice
